The 14th Street Streetscape Project in NW Washington D.C. involves the removal and replacement of existing pavement, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, as well as resurfacing and streetscaping. The project scope includes:

Removal and disposal of existing roadway pavement, curb, and gutter, and sidewalks
Resurfacing of existing asphalt pavement
Replacement of curbs and gutters with granite curbs and brick gutters
Installation of new traffic signals, street lighting, and pavement markings
Construction of new catch basins and watermains
Reconstruction of R Street
Installation of new bus islands and bus pads

The weekly progress report for 12/03/2018 – 12/08/2018 notes the following activities:

Omni excavated and installed electrical conduits and manholes
DEN installed granite curb and brick gutter, and demoed and installed PCC sidewalk
FMCC Electrical installed TEC cabinets, traffic signal poles, and transformer bases
* Progress meetings were held, and community outreach activities were conducted

Ongoing issues include bus shelter removal and PEPCO manhole conflicts. New issues and action items are being addressed, including conflicts with PEPCO and removal of bus shelters. The project website is up and running, and progress photographs are being maintained.
