Summary

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulates external radio frequency power amplifiers under part 74 of this chapter, with conditions in § 74.952. An external radio frequency power amplifier is defined as a device that amplifies a signal from a radio transmitter and is not an integral part of the transmitter. The FCC prohibits the manufacture, sale, or import of these amplifiers capable of operating below 144 MHz unless they have received certification.
