Adaptive QoS Control.pdf

A class-based adaptive QoS control scheme is proposed for SDN-enabled networks, utilizing optimization techniques to maximize the number of traffic flows with QoS satisfaction. The scheme is evaluated using Mininet and Ryu controller, with VoIP, video streaming, and file transfer traffic types. The performance metrics include maximum number of traffic flows admittable with QoS, average throughput, latency, jitter, and packet loss rate. The results show that the proposed scheme outperforms existing QoS provisioning schemes, such as JMABC, in terms of the maximum number of high-priority traffic flows admittable with QoS, while maintaining comparable levels of other performance metrics. The proposed scheme is suitable for large-scale networks, providing better QoS scalability and real-time traffic management.
