Summary

A class-based adaptive QoS control scheme is proposed for SDN-enabled networks, utilizing optimization techniques to maximize the number of traffic flows with QoS satisfaction. The scheme is evaluated using Mininet and Ryu controller, with VoIP, video streaming, and file transfer traffic types. The performance metrics include maximum number of traffic flows admittable with QoS, average throughput, latency, jitter, and packet loss rate. The results show that the proposed scheme outperforms existing QoS provisioning schemes, such as JMABC, in terms of the maximum number of high-priority traffic flows admittable with QoS, while maintaining comparable levels of other performance metrics. The proposed scheme is suitable for large-scale networks, providing better QoS scalability and real-time traffic management.

Key features of the proposed scheme include:

Class-based adaptive QoS control
Optimization technique to maximize traffic flows with QoS satisfaction
SDN-enabled network architecture
Evaluation using Mininet and Ryu controller
Performance metrics: maximum number of traffic flows admittable with QoS, average throughput, latency, jitter, and packet loss rate

The proposed scheme has several benefits, including:

Improved network resource management
Higher efficiency and better performance
Real-time traffic management
* Better QoS scalability for large-scale networks

The results of the simulation show that the proposed scheme can admit a higher number of traffic flows satisfying QoS requirements than existing schemes, while maintaining comparable levels of other performance metrics. The proposed scheme is a promising solution for managing QoS in SDN-enabled networks, particularly in large-scale networks with diverse traffic types and QoS requirements.

Description

Class-based adaptive QoS control scheme is proposed for SDN-enabled networks. It optimizes QoS for various traffic classes, including VoIP, Video Streaming, and File Transfer. The scheme aims to improve network performance and efficiency.
