The Department of Agriculture (DoA) in partnership with Nepal Agriculture Extension Association (NAEA) and Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS) is organizing a national conference on "Strengthening Linkage among Agriculture Research, Extension and Education for Effective Service Delivery in Federal Nepal" on June 17-18, 2022, at Hotel Yellow Pagoda, Kathmandu.

Objectives

1. Share and discuss issues and challenges in Nepalese agricultural extension system.
2. Provide a platform for stakeholders to share experiences and identify gaps in agricultural extension policies and programs.
3. Identify ways to address emerging issues and challenges in Nepalese agricultural extension system.

Thematic Areas

1. Role of Education Institutions in Agriculture Extension and Research.
2. Innovative Extension Approach.
3. Extension Approaches.
4. Advanced Research in Agriculture Innovation System (AIS).
5. Cross-Cutting Areas (e.g., gender, technology, climate change, digital agriculture).

Methodological Approach

The conference will feature oral and poster presentations, with single or parallel sessions conducted as per the received thematic or contributing papers/posters. Five committees will be formed to manage the conference.

Guidelines for Papers (Oral Presentation)

Manuscript order: Title, Author(s) name and address, Abstract, Keywords, Main text, Acknowledgement, References, and Appendix
Page size: A4 (8.3” ×11.7”)
Font: Times New Roman
Font size: 14 for title, 12 for heading and general text, and 10 for tables and figures
Line spacing: 2
Paper length: Maximum 4,500 words (excluding reference)
Abstract: Concise summary of the paper, not exceeding 250 words.
