Le trattative per il rinnovo del contratto nazionale per l'industria alimentare sono state interrotte a causa della disponibilità al ribasso della Cgil, che ha mandato all'aria la possibilità di ottenere i 155 Euro chiesti nella piattaforma unitaria. La Fai Cisl ha espresso fermezza e disponibilità a far ripartire la trattativa, che probabilmente riprenderà a settembre. La piattaforma unitaria si basava su tre pilastri: aspetto economico, bilateralità e regole sul lavoro. Nel frattempo, la crisi economica sta colpendo anche il settore agro-alimentare, con un calo del numero di immigrati che vengono a lavorare in Italia e un aumento dei rientri in patria. La Fai Cisl di Brescia sta lavorando per vigilare sul rispetto degli accordi e per aiutare i lavoratori interessati a partecipare ai corsi di riqualificazione professionale.
