I'm an account executive at Altice, but I see myself as a consultant who provides solutions to businesses that need help, and to those that don't yet know they need it. Before meeting Mullooly Asset Management, I researched their company and saw they were already doing things like having a podcast and blog, which most small businesses don't do. There's a misconception that TV advertising is a long, drawn-out, and expensive process, especially for small local business owners. However, times have changed due to technology, and we've been able to bring TV advertising down to the local level and offer it at affordable rates.

When Mullooly Asset Management expressed concerns about having a cheesy cable TV commercial, I explained that we've evolved beyond the traditional local cable ad. We're now producing high-quality commercials in HD and 4K, and some clients even want the cheesy look.

One of your clients mentioned that they were looking for your TV commercial and realized they had seen it multiple times, describing it as extremely professional and well-done. They were actually looking for something cheesier.

I got started in the business through a creative path. I was a graphic designer by trade, but it wasn't stimulating, so I started venturing out and met people in video production. I began selling advertising in various venues, including print, and eventually led to independent marketing projects, working in ad agencies, and eventually joining Altice USA to sell cable advertising.

To get business, I follow a commission-based process, which can be challenging as I need to find my own clients. I used to open the local newspaper to see who was already advertising in print and start calling them. I got a few clients that way, and now I just need to get them interested in hearing about another way to do things.

I don't recall any clients going straight to cable ads without trying other forms of advertising first. Most people have had some experience with advertising, whether it's in print, online, or through other means.

The reason TV advertising seems inaccessible is that, in the past, reps would come in, propose a schedule, and charge a high price for advertising on major networks. Small business owners would be deterred by the cost. Additionally, the cost of producing a 30-second ad was another barrier.
