Emiliana Simon-Thomas directs the Greater Good Science Center's research fellowship program and is a leading expert on the neuroscience and psychology of compassion, kindness, gratitude, and other prosocial skills that bolster human happiness. She earned her doctorate in Cognition Brain and Behavior at UC Berkeley and has worked at the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education at Stanford University.

The seminar, led by Emiliana, will cover the scientific perspectives on human happiness and the crucial role of work activities, introducing the PERK (Purpose, Engagement, Resilience, and Kindness) framework for strengthening happiness at work, and addressing barriers to create an effective plan for increasing happiness at work.

Participants will learn about the PERK method, gain knowledge to redefine happiness and satisfaction in their organization, and support their colleagues in understanding the importance of authentic happiness in the workplace. They will also receive a Certificate of Attendance from the GGSC UC Berkeley.

The seminar aims to help participants build and disseminate a positive organizational culture, increase happiness levels, enhance teamwork, commitment, and productivity, and encourage a culture of happiness with positive emotions like gratitude and kindness.
