DNA Sample Submission Agreement

Owner donates and assigns DNA sample to CHIC DNA Repository for research purposes
Owner relinquishes all rights to and ownership of the DNA sample

Mission and Objectives

Collect and store canine DNA samples for research into inherited diseases
Facilitate rapid research progress and provide optimized family groups for research
Allow breeders to take advantage of future DNA-based disease tests

Submission Methods

Blood sample: gold standard for genetic material, but more expensive
Cheek swab: viable option, less expensive, but lower yield and purity of DNA
