Summary

Researchers translated and validated the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) for Brazilian pregnant women, adapting it to the Portuguese language and Brazilian culture. The study involved 92 pregnant women who completed the FSFI questionnaire twice, with a one-hour interval, and again 7-14 days later. The results showed moderate to strong internal consistency (0.791-0.911) and interobserver consistency (0.791-0.914), as well as moderate to strong correlations between the FSFI and the Female Sexual Quotient (QS-F). The study concluded that the FSFI is a reliable and valid instrument for assessing sexual function in Brazilian pregnant women.
