MIMO decoupling control design for Lotka-Volterra systems is proposed using a linear output feedback controller based on Youla-parametrization. The method utilizes the underlying linear dynamics of the system, which can be associated with a Lotka-Volterra model. The design is illustrated on a simple nonlinear fermentation model, where the structure of the designed feedback can be related to the structure of the original open-loop system. The approach involves a nonlinear X-factorable transformation to examine a dynamically similar LTI state space model, enabling the use of linear control design methods.
