Summary

All Nations Hope Network (ANHN) and Omega Specialty Nurses (OSN) partnered to address growing HCV, HIV, and syphilis rates among Indigenous populations in Saskatchewan during COVID-19. Through weekly visits, they provided Point of Care testing and linked clients to care, treatment, and support. In 2021, they tested 471 individuals, identifying 261 HCV antibody positive cases, 44 HIV positive cases, and 13 new syphilis cases, with 28 individuals receiving treatment. The partnership enhanced relationship building and trust, allowing for increased testing and linkage to care amidst pandemic-related service disruptions.
