The Board of Trustees of the Boothbay Region Water District met on July 14, 2020. The meeting covered several topics, including:

1. Approval of minutes from the June 23, 2020 meeting and transactions from June 22 to July 10, 2020.
2. A report on vandalism of customer infrastructure, where a seasonal residence in Southport experienced intentional damage, resulting in a water bill of over $3,000. The board explained that they couldn't offer relief due to regulations but suggested the homeowners contact the Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) for possible abatement.
3. Administration updates, including new service applications, COVID-19 pandemic effects, and the closure of the Administration Building to walk-in traffic.
4. A cash account status report showing a total of $853,491.27 in cash reserves.
5. Updates on the Natural Resources Program, Safety & Training, and Treatment Division, including filter train efficiency, water production, and chemical consumption.
6. The district will transition to Knickerbocker Lake as the raw water source on July 15, 2020.
7. The manager reported on the Backwash Waste Pump Replacement Project and the replacement of Backwash Pump #2, which failed due to a short electrical power loss.
