KINGSTON COMMUNITY PAVILION meeting minutes from 30th March 2020:
Committee members reported being in good health, and minutes from 10th February 2020 were approved.
Discussions centered around Coronavirus (Covid-19), including national and local updates, advice, and the Pavilion's closure until further notice, likely for 12 weeks from 21st March.
Notices were placed on doors and the external notice-board, and tennis courts were padlocked.
The potential use of the Pavilion as a hub for shopping distribution was rejected due to increased footfall concerns.
External cupboards and taps were closed, and a statement of closure was posted on the website.
Cleaning measures and disinfection were discussed, with options for cleaning and disinfection procedures outlined.
Insurance situations were addressed, including the Unoccupied Condition and Playground Inspection requirement, with the insurer confirming that full cover will remain in place for 45 consecutive days of unoccupancy.
The Committee recommended no one enter the Pavilion until further guidance is received from the insurers, except in emergency situations like the flooding incident on 1st April.
Private bookings were halted until further notice due to Covid-19, and action points included changing the entry alarm code, ordering gloves, and discussing cleaning and disinfection procedures.
