This study examines directive speech acts in stories within the Quran, aiming to describe and categorize these acts using Bach and Harnish's theory, which includes requestives, questions, requirements, prohibitive, permissives, and advisories. The results show that the Quran contains various directive speech acts, with requirements being the most prominent, including commands to pray and give attention. The study concludes that the stories in the Quran convey messages, including carrying out God's commands and avoiding prohibitions, to guide human history and reflect God's guidance in life.
