Summary

The FORS-SSP Research Program is a joint research program between the Swiss Centre of Expertise in the Social Sciences (FORS) and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (SSP) at the University of Lausanne (UNIL), funded annually by UNIL with around 1.35 million CHF since 2008. The program's objectives are to develop high-quality research in social science methods and substantive research, improve survey methodology, and contribute to methodological innovations and substantive research in the social sciences. The program has 15 staff members, 11 additional FORS staff members, and 19 associate members. In 2022, the program produced 66 publications, including 22 based on FORS-related data, and was involved in 26 teaching activities using FORS-related data. The program is structured around three research axes: survey methodology, inequalities and life course, and data diversity and public good research.
