The Global Fund partnership has saved 44 million lives and reduced annual deaths from HIV, TB, and malaria by 46% since its peak. However, COVID-19 has exacerbated existing inequities, diverted resources, and slowed progress.

Key Objectives:

1. Build Resilient Systems for Health: Invest in integrated, people-centered models of prevention, treatment, and care to drive impact against HIV, TB, and malaria.
2. Maximize Community Engagement and Leadership: Ensure affected communities are at the center of everything, with services designed to respond to their needs.
3. Maximize Health Equity, Gender Equality, and Human Rights: Integrate these dimensions into HIV, TB, and malaria interventions, using data to identify and respond to inequities.
4. Mobilize Increased Resources: Unlock additional domestic and donor funds, driving value for money and responding to the unprecedented fiscal challenges faced by implementer and donor countries.

Additional Objective: Pandemic Preparedness and Response (PPR): Bring the partnership's expertise and inclusive model to pandemic preparedness and response, protecting progress on HIV, TB, and malaria and addressing the multifaceted threats to health arising from climate change.

Partnership and Country Ownership: The success of the Global Fund model depends on country ownership and partnership, with implementer governments delivering strong, equitable health systems and disease programs that respond to the needs of people and communities.
