Hot Weather - 15.07.22.pdf

Dear all parents and carers,

I am sure you will have already seen that the weather on Monday and Tuesday is expected to be exceptionally hot.

With this in mind please ensure the following:-

Children arrive at Nursery with sun cream already applied and for those children who are here all day some labelled sun cream to re-apply in the afternoon.

Children have a sun hat

Children have a cool bottle of water

In Nursery we will :-

Remind the children regularly to drink water

Limit time outdoors and try to be in the shade where possible

Re-apply sun cream to all day children

Ensure they wear hats

Keep blinds closed where possible and keep nursery well ventilated

We understand if you make the decision to keep children at home on these days as the weather is set to be unusually hot.

We will continue to monitor the weather and hope that we will still be able to go ahead with leavers services.

On Wednesday 20th July 2022 children break up for the Summer break. We would like all children to attend in the morning from 8.30 am to enjoy a cinema day with popcorn and films.

Please note there will be no afternoon Nursery session on this day

Children who normally attend in the mornings can be collected at 11.15 am and children who normally attend in the afternoons can be collected at 11.35 am. This will allow for a steadier flow of traffic through the Nursery and give you time to say goodbye.
