Karyn Feeney brings 27 years of law enforcement expertise in management, investigations, recruiting, fitness, and mental health. Currently a National Trainer at the National Council for Behavioral Health since 2020, she facilitates nationwide Mental Health First Aid train-the-trainer courses with high fidelity. Previously, as a Special Agent with the FBI St. Louis office from 2006 to 2017, she pioneered Mental Health First Aid instructor certification for the FBI, certified Crisis Intervention Team, and spearheaded mental health training for agents and partners. Her FBI career also included specialized roles in asset forfeiture, money laundering investigations, and multi-jurisdictional drug/gang operations. Feeney serves as a Federal Contractor Field Investigator for ADC LTD NM and General Dynamics IT, conducting security clearance background investigations. She holds certifications as a National Trainer, Mental Health First Aid Instructor, FBI Instructor, Crisis Intervention Team, TS/SCI, and Joint Duty. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Sciences from Illinois State University and an Executive Management Program from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
