Summary

Database Changes:

- Renewals & Additions: Several databases were either not renewed (Flipster, IndieFlix, OneClickDigital, Rocket Languages) or newly added (Mango Languages, Press Reader, Merck Manual, hoopla).
- hoopla Migration Bug: A technical issue occurred when patron accounts migrated to the WLS-hoopla system, causing errors during title borrowing. This was resolved by Midwest Tapes tech support on January 18th.

Equipment Acquisition & Training:

- Microfilm Scanner: The Library successfully trialed and purchased a ScanPro 3000 microfilm scanner from DRS Imaging Group. It will be used to digitize the local newspaper microfilm collection under the coordination of Ben Himmelfarb.

Access & Technical Issues:

- Tumblebooks Mobile Access: Problems accessing Tumblebooks on mobile devices due to a dedicated web server redirecting to an invalid account error. Both Tumblebooks and WLS Help Desk are working on a solution.
- OverDrive eBook Holds: Patrons reported unable to place holds on certain eBook titles, instead receiving an error message instructing them to add the title to their wish list. This was caused by a recent change in OverDrive's setting for metered content. OverDrive has been contacted for resolution.

Security Upgrade:

- EZProxy: The Library upgraded to the latest version of EZProxy, switching from a perpetual license to an annual subscription model due to OCLC's policy changes and impending support end for the current version in September.
