Summary

Recent changes in methodology for computing the baryon electric dipole moment (EDM) on a lattice have substantially reduced existing lattice values for the proton and neutron theta-induced EDMs, making them consistent with zero. This change removes previous disagreements between lattice results and phenomenological estimates of the nucleon EDM, but makes it harder to compute the nucleon EDM on a lattice. Progress has been made in computing the quark chromo-EDM-induced nucleon EDM using chiral quark action.
