Interconnecting channels are parallel to [100] and [001], with a channel intersection shown in Figure 4(a). Supplementary information discusses the presence of crankshaft chains in other framework types and provides links to detailed descriptions. An alternative description of PHI uses double crankshaft chains of the feldspar type, consisting of 2-fold (1,2)-connected double 4-rings (D4Rs).
