Summary

Vom Acker bis zum Teller sollen weniger Gemüse verschwendet werden. Die Landwirtschaftskammer Niedersachsen und die Hochschule Osnabrück arbeiten mit EDEKA Minden-Hannover zusammen, um Qualitätsanforderungen im Freilandgemüseanbau zu überdenken und Lebensmittelabfälle sowie den Einsatz von Düngemitteln zu reduzieren. Die Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) fördert das Projekt mit 498.000 Euro. Ziel ist es, den Verzicht auf strenge Kriterien im Lebensmitteleinzelhandel zu prüfen und stattdessen auf staatliche Qualitätsnormen zu setzen, um essbare Lebensmittel zu retten und den Umweltschutz zu fördern.
