Campylium elodes (Fine-leaved Feather-moss) is a slender moss with irregularly branched, dull green or yellow-green shoots, and narrowly spearhead-shaped leaves with a long, single nerve. It grows in moist and wet habitats, such as marshes, seepages, and sand dunes, and can be locally abundant on sedge or grass tussocks in calcareous fens. Similar species include C. chrysophyllus, Amblystegium serpens, and Drepanocladus polygamus, but C. elodes can be distinguished by its longer nerve and compact patches of cells at the leaf base.
