Paul's third missionary journey started after spending time in Antioch, and he passed through Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening the disciples. The focal point of this journey was Ephesus, where he spent more time than in any other city. Paul's ministry in Ephesus was fruitful, and the impact of his preaching reached the whole province of Asia. He founded churches in Colossae, Hierapolis, and Laodicea during this time. After leaving Corinth, Paul arrived in Ephesus, where he met Apollos, a Jew who had a faint knowledge of Jesus' mission and message. Aquila and Priscilla expounded the Word of God more fully to Apollos, who then went to Achaia and convincingly preached that Jesus was Christ. Paul counseled the Corinthian believers not to exalt Apollos' labors above his own, emphasizing that God gives the increase, and both he and Apollos were ministers through whom the believers believed. Paul also found twelve men in Ephesus who were disciples of John the Baptist and expounded the Word of God more fully to them, telling them of Christ's life, death, and resurrection, and the promise of the Comforter. Paul preached in the synagogue for three months before relocating to the school of Tyrannus, where he preached for two years, and all in Asia heard about Jesus Christ as a result.
