Summary

Die Bürgerstiftung Bremerhaven schloss das Geschäftsjahr 2011 mit einem Stiftungsvermögen von knapp unter 2 Mio. Euro ab. Das Stiftungskapital erhöhte sich durch Zustiftungen um 438.000 Euro. Die Stiftung verzeichnete Einnahmen aus Spenden und Kapitalanlagen, aber auch einen Jahresfehlbetrag von 34.700 Euro, der durch Ergebnisreserven ausgeglichen wurde. Im Jahr 2012 feierte die Stiftung ihr 10-jähriges Jubiläum und konnte eine beachtliche Bilanz vorweisen, darunter 55 Stifter, 13 Zeitstifter und 30 Paten. Die Stiftung unterstützt junge Künstler und fördert die Leseförderung an Bremerhavener Schulen. Im Rahmen des Jubiläums fand ein Konzertabend mit jungen Künstlern statt, der von 250 Gästen besucht wurde. Die Stiftung bedankte sich bei Spendern, Sponsoren und Unterstützern für ihre Hilfe. Im Jahr 2012 wurde auch der Förderpreis zum sechsten Mal verliehen, um besonderes ehrenamtliches Engagement zu würdigen.
