SI leaders are trained in best practices and are required to attend training sessions, with emphasis on encouraging independent learning and stressing skills such as time management and test preparation. The program aligns with WSU's mission, the Division of Student Affairs, and Academic Support Centers and Programs, and supports the university's Core Theme of "Engaged Learning.
