1. Policy and Procedures Revision: UVA substantially revised its procedures for investigating and resolving sexual harassment and violence reports during the 2014-2015 academic year. OCR found these policies comply with Title IX requirements for prompt and equitable resolution.

2. Staff Appointments and Training:
- Created and filled a dedicated Title IX Coordinator position.
- Expanded investigative capacity in the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs.
- Established a Prevention Coordinator role to develop strategies for reducing sexual assault, gender-based violence, and high-risk activities.
- Enhanced training and prevention programs, including alcohol education and student outreach.
- Secured funding for additional mental health counselors.
- Developed a Title IX website as a central resource.

3. Ad Hoc Group and Campaigns:
- Formed the President’s Ad Hoc Group on University Climate and Culture to improve campus climate regarding sexual harassment and violence.
- Launched awareness campaigns ("Not on Our Grounds" and "#HOOSGotYourBack").
- Implemented bystander education programming.

4. Third-Party Consultant (Equity Consultant):
- UVA retained an Equity Consultant with expertise in Title IX compliance to:
- Develop and provide mandatory sexual harassment and violence training.
- Assist in conducting periodic climate assessments.
- Make recommendations based on surveys.

Compliance with OCR Requirements:
The agreement ensures UVA's adherence to Title IX by addressing areas such as policy definitions, investigation procedures, notice dissemination, responsible employee reporting, and conflict-free handling of reports.
