Summary

Bishop Seth of Matana Diocese is grateful for a new Land Cruiser, which has enabled him to visit rural parishes and conduct confirmations. The vehicle has also been a blessing for trips to the capital, Bujumbura. The agricultural cooperatives in Matana are helping communities work together, but farmers are struggling with the dry season and heavy rains.

In Gitega Diocese, Bishop Aimé Joseph is thankful for church growth in rural parishes, facilitated by improved road networks. A gift from CMS Ireland has enabled the purchase of a church plot at Mataho parish. Two students, Arsene and Evariste, are studying theology at Bujumbura Christian University, and four Archdeacons have received motorcycles to assist in pastoral ministry.

Despite encouraging news, the context in which the partners minister remains challenging, with economic problems, environmental vulnerability, and a fragile political situation. The partners are committed to working across divides to bring God's reconciling love, and they request continued prayers and support.
