Summary

The goal of the project is to determine a basketball player's field goal percentage for a single shooting session using a low-cost, simple method. An LSM6DS3 3D digital accelerometer was mounted at the base of the rim, measuring acceleration in 3 directions at a 208 Hz sample rate. 10 one-minute shooting sessions were recorded, totaling 108 shots, with videos taken to verify made or missed shots. The objective was to achieve a 5% error in field goal percentage calculation.
