Summary

This study examines the relationship between perceived value and customer satisfaction among youth smartphone users in Malaysia, with a focus on the moderating effect of gender. The results show that all five dimensions of perceived value (functional, social, emotional, monetary, and convenience) have a positive influence on customer satisfaction, except for social value which has a negative effect. The study also finds that male users are satisfied when they perceive high monetary value, while female users are satisfied when they perceive high emotional value. The findings suggest that marketers and smartphone manufacturers should adopt different marketing approaches for different gender groups to achieve customer satisfaction.
