Summary

BIOPAC offers pulse oximetry modules, including OXY100E for human use and OXY200 for veterinary use, which measure blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) levels noninvasively. The modules output four signals: SpO2 value, pulse plethysmogram, heart pulse rate, and module status. They operate according to the Lambert-Beer law, using light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and photodiodes to calculate the oxyhemoglobin/deoxyhemoglobin ratio. The OXY100E and OXY200 modules have an ON/OFF switch for each signal output channel and can be used with TSD124 series SpO2 transducers for human use or TSD270 series SpO2 transducers for veterinary use. Available extensions include the CBLOXY-EXT pulse oximeter extension cable. Calibration can be performed using the recessed "Cal" button on the OXY module and AcqKnowledge scaling. Specifications include pulse rate range (18-321 BPM for OXY100E, 18-450 BPM for OXY200), SpO2 range (0-100%), and SpO2 accuracy (70-100% ±2%).
