Summary

Eine von Partizipation geprägte Unterrichtskultur braucht mehr als nur eine punktuell ermöglichte Mitgestaltung. Vielmehr müssen unterschiedliche Elemente verbindlich verankert und sinnstiftend aufeinander bezogen werden. Unterricht wird zu einem Lernerlebnis, das Schüler*innen und Lehrkräfte gemeinsam vorbereiten, entwickeln und durchführen und das dabei immer wieder Gelegenheiten zu einem bewussten Erleben von Demokratie schafft. Die Einführung von Schülerbeteiligung im Unterricht kann Vorteile und Chancen für das fachliche wie demokratische Lernen bieten, wie z.B. eine positive Lehrer-Schüler-Beziehung, ein größeres Wohlbefinden in der Schul- und Klassengemeinschaft und eine größere Motivation. Ein partizipativer Unterricht kann auch zu einer Verbesserung der Unterrichtsqualität und einer Verringerung von Unterrichtsstörungen und Disziplinschwierigkeiten führen.
