Summary

EU students in the UK have the same fees as home students, with access to loans and grants, and tuition is free in Scotland. Brexit won't change fees or loans for EU students starting degrees in 2018-19 or 2019-20. EU students arriving before January 2021 won't need a visa, but may need to register to stay. They can apply for settled status after five years. The UK's participation in Erasmus+ and Research Council funding for PhDs will continue until 2020. UK degrees will still be recognized in the EU after Brexit, with some exceptions for professional qualifications.
