Dear Healthcare Professional,

Teva is pleased to inform you of the following updates to the Patient Information Leaflet for Mycophenolate Teva 500 mg:

Indications:
Prophylaxis of rejection in renal allograft recipients, in patients receiving allogenic cardiac transplants and in allogenic hepatic transplants. Mycophenolate Teva should be used concomitantly with ciclosporin and corticosteroids.

Special warnings and precautions for use:
Do not start treatment with Mycophenolate Teva and consult your doctor immediately if:
- You are over 65 years old, as you may have a higher risk of developing side effects such as certain viral infections, gastrointestinal bleeding, and pulmonary edema.
- You have a hereditary deficiency of certain enzymes, such as Lesch-Nyhan and Kelley-Seegmiller syndrome.

Children:
Do not give this medicine to children under 2 years old, as the existing efficacy and safety data do not allow for dosage recommendations for this age group.

The Patient Information Leaflet has been updated and is available on the Israel Ministry of Health's website: https://drugs.health.gov.il and can be obtained in printed form by contacting Teva.
