The Azabu University Alumni Association's Saga Prefecture branch held a meeting on July 10, 2010, at "Grande Hagakure" in Saga City, with Professor Yumiko Yamamoto from the university's Department of Anatomy in attendance, making it a successful event. Nineteen members from within the prefecture participated, and Professor Yamamoto shared updates about the university, surprising many graduates from the Showa to early Heisei eras with how much the university has changed. The post-lecture social gathering was filled with lively conversations about old times, and many young members attended, making it a meaningful meeting. Some young members even went to a second party in Saga City's nightlife district with Professor Yamamoto after the social gathering. The branch hopes to invite another professor from the university next year and strengthen ties with the alumni association headquarters and university faculty. Finally, the branch would like to express respect for their colleagues who worked on foot-and-mouth disease prevention in Miyazaki Prefecture.
