National Institute of Infectious Diseases is recruiting a limited-term researcher (young researcher training type) for the Infection Crisis Management Research Center, Second Room.

The job involves collecting and analyzing information on infection crisis management, developing standard operating procedures for emergency response centers, and conducting research on risk assessment and methods for infection crisis management.

Applicants must have knowledge and research experience in infectious diseases, pathogens, epidemiology, or public health, as well as experience working in administration, international organizations, or companies related to infection control. They must also have a doctoral degree and be able to work collaboratively with other researchers.

The application period is from May 15 to June 16, 2023, and the expected start date is August 1, 2023. The term of employment is five years, and there is no possibility of reappointment as a limited-term researcher. However, it is possible to apply for a non-term-limit position after the term ends.

The salary will be paid based on the law, and the working hours will be 38 hours and 45 minutes per week, with two days off per week. There are also annual leave, special leave, and sick leave systems in place.

The selection process will consist of a document screening and an interview, and the result is expected to be announced in late June 2023. The workplace will be the National Institute of Infectious Diseases in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
