Der Kappus Supplier Code of Conduct basiert auf international anerkannten Standards zur verantwortlichen Unternehmensführung, wie den Leitsätzen der OECD, dem UN Global Compact und den Arbeits- und Sozialstandards der ILO. Die Kappus 1848 GmbH erwartet von ihren Geschäftspartnern, dass sie diese Prinzipien beachten und umsetzen. Der Code of Conduct umfasst drei Hauptbereiche:

1. Corporate Governance: Einhalten von Handelsrechten und Vorschriften, Verbot von Bestechung und Korruption, Einhalten von Kartell- und Wettbewerbsrecht, Respektierung von geistigem Eigentum und ordnungsgemäße Geschäftsführung.
2. Gesellschaft/Mitarbeiter: Bekennen sich zu den Grundsätzen der Allgemeinen Erklärung der Menschenrechte, Verbot von Kinder- und Zwangsarbeit, faire Arbeitsbedingungen, diskriminierungsfreies Arbeitsumfeld und Gesundheit und Sicherheit am Arbeitsplatz.
3. Umwelt: Einhalten von Vorschriften zum Umweltschutz, aktiver Beitrag zum Umwelt- und Klimaschutz, Förderung umweltverträglicher Alternativen und Reduzierung von Abfallmengen und Verunreinigungen.

Die Geschäftspartner müssen die Umsetzung und Einhaltung des Kappus Supplier Code of Conduct gewährleisten und bei Verstößen unverzüglich Kontakt mit Kappus aufnehmen.
