The programme has contributed to the up-skilling and involvement of previously disadvantaged individuals in the biodiversity sector, with 36 individuals trained and 70% finding permanent or long-term employment.
The collected data supports the effective annual updating of the Red List of South African Plants, National Biodiversity Assessment, and other conservation efforts.
