Summary

Die volkswirtschaftliche Bedeutung der Familienunternehmen wird in einer Studie der Stiftung Familienunternehmen untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass große Familienunternehmen auch während der Eurokrise als Garant von Beschäftigung und wirtschaftlicher Prosperität fungierten. Im Vergleich zu DAX-Unternehmen im Streubesitz zeigten die 500 größten Familienunternehmen in Deutschland eine höhere Stabilität. Die Studie kommt zu dem Ergebnis, dass Familienunternehmen eine wichtige Rolle in der deutschen Wirtschaft spielen und ihre wirtschaftliche Kraft nicht mehr nur auf Deutschland beschränkt ist. Die Erfolgsgeschichte der Familienunternehmen hängt jedoch auch von der deutschen Politik ab, die entscheiden muss, ob sie die Rahmenbedingungen für diese Unternehmen verbessert oder ob sie sich zunehmend auf ausländische Standorte konzentrieren.
