Funders Concerned About AIDS (FCAA) aims to eradicate the HIV/AIDS pandemic by mobilizing philanthropic leadership, ideas, and resources. The organization envisions a world without AIDS, achieved through collaborative, transparent, and urgent efforts to fund evidence-based interventions, advocacy, research, and investments addressing social inequities and health disparities. FCAA's board and staff comprise representatives from various foundations, corporations, and organizations, including the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, Kaiser Permanente, and the M•A•C AIDS Fund. The organization thanks its funding partners, including UNAIDS, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and the Elton John AIDS Foundation UK, for their support. FCAA's report provides an overview of global philanthropic support to address HIV/AIDS in 2012, including U.S. and European philanthropic funding, as well as support from funders outside of the U.S. and Western and Central Europe. The report highlights key findings, such as the concentration of U.S. philanthropic HIV/AIDS funders, the geographic distribution of funding, and the focus on domestic and global HIV/AIDS initiatives.
