A recent Boston Consulting Group (BCG) study analyzed the effects of e-mobility on jobs in Europe, considering both core automotive industries (OEMs, suppliers, maintenance providers) and adjacent industries (equipment providers, energy production, infrastructure, recycling). The study found that electric vehicles (EVs) will have a minor net impact on jobs through 2030, but significant job losses in the core automotive industry will be offset by job growth in new industries supporting electrification.
