Mevagissey Social Club committee meeting minutes, 20th February 2018:
Present were N. Nicholls, S Gibson, G Hoskins, P Bowker, S Lawday, C Williams, M Tate, C. Burnett, and D Leeson.
Apologies from P Vellenoweth, R Mitchell, and H Stobart.
Minutes from 23rd January meeting agreed upon.
Matters arising included welcoming D Leeson back, music and uniform returned, and a music bursary awarded to Connie Voyce.
Treasurer G Hoskins reported a busy month with a balance sheet produced, and £1,000 transferred to a high-interest account.
Concerts discussed included Minack, St Austell Brewery, Lostwithiel Church, Yealmpton, Tavistock MVC, and St Augustine's.
Entertainment night on 14th April with 14 acts booked, and 2018 Christmas concerts update with proposed dates.
Deputy MD developments and AGM date discussed, with the AGM set for 14th January 2019.
Publicity, music committee, and membership topics covered, including the appointment of Jim Hunkin as an honorary member.
Any other business included discussions on fountain signs, music distribution, ties, and invitations to concerts.
