Fukushima NPO Survey Report.pdf

The Fukushima Regional Activity Support Center conducted an survey of NPOs in Fukushima Prefecture from December 16, 2021, to February 28, 2022. The response rate was 15.7% with 136 responses out of 866 sent. The survey found that the main business areas of the responding NPOs were:
- Health, medical care, and welfare (78)
- Social education (40)
- Town development (49)
- Tourism promotion (18)
- Environmental conservation (27)
- Disaster relief (17)
- Childrearing support (58)
- Economic activity promotion (24)
- Job training and employment support (28)

The survey also found that:
- 60 NPOs continued their business as usual despite the COVID-19 pandemic
- 66 NPOs reduced their business scale due to the pandemic
- 52 NPOs faced financial difficulties
- 71 NPOs faced personnel shortages
- 47 NPOs faced aging-related issues

In terms of desired training and support, the NPOs requested:
- Accounting and finance (25)
- Labor management (24)
- IT and SNS (26)
- Public relations and promotion (25)
- Compliance (15)
- Fundraising and crowdfunding (39)
- SDGs-related support (25)
- Networking with other organizations (36)
