Vinfen's President & CEO Bruce L. Bird, PhD, discusses the organization's adaptation to the new Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) model, which focuses on clinical and rehabilitation activities to help individuals self-manage their recovery. Vinfen provides these services to 2,500 individuals through 22 outreach teams and 73 residential programs. The organization is building an Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) content library to make it easier for people to use and collect data on their use. Vinfen also held its 12th annual Moving Images Film Festival, which explored the importance of meeting people where they are and providing them with the services they need. The festival raised awareness of the ways systems can succeed and fail to support people. Additionally, Vinfen recognized several staff members for their achievements, including Don Lonergan, who received the Vinfen 2018 Peer Leadership Award, and Kristi Taylor, who was accepted into the Massachusetts Institute for Community Health Leadership.
