Mitsuboshi Belting held a comprehensive disaster prevention drill,
"Coexistence with the town," to mark the 15th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.
The drill included a bucket relay with 400 residents and employees.
Mitsuboshi Belting has designated January 17 as "Mitsuboshi Belting Disaster Prevention Day"
and conducts disaster prevention drills with local residents every year.
In 2010, the company's Ayabe office and Shikoku factory will also participate in the drill,
which will include a bucket relay to extinguish a fire at the Mitsuboshi Belting office.
The drill will be held on January 15, 2010, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the company's Kobe headquarters.
Participants will include Mitsuboshi Belting employees, local residents, and the company's self-defense fire brigades.
The drill will consist of evacuation guidance, damage confirmation, fire extinguishing,
and a bucket relay with 400 participants.
The event will also include a moment of silence, a review, and the distribution of emergency food.
