O trabalho discute as possibilidades e obstáculos epistemológicos no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de Ciências em tempos de pandemia de Covid-19. A pesquisa bibliográfica foi adotada para analisar e correlacionar as ideias de autores que abordam o tema. Verificou-se que as aulas remotas articuladas ao conhecimento da realidade cotidiana dos alunos podem ser possibilidades para a construção de conhecimento científico. Sugestões para o trabalho com o ensino de Ciências em aulas remotas incluem a investigação científica, experimentos caseiros e discussões sobre a importância dos recursos hídricos e dos cuidados com a higiene pessoal. Conclui-se que as aulas de Ciências precisam ser centros de disseminação do conhecimento científico e não momentos de mera absorção de conteúdo.
