The University of Cordoba's Geobotany course is a 6-ECTS credit, optional course for 4th-year Biology students. It covers the study of vegetation, including phytogeography, geobotany, and phytosociology. The course has 60 classroom hours, with 40% face-to-face instruction, and 90 hours of self-study. The course is divided into four blocks: introduction, phytogeography, geobotany and phytosociology, and vegetation of the Iberian Peninsula. The evaluation consists of case studies, exams, projects, and practical work, with a minimum grade of 5 required to pass. The course aims to develop skills in critically analyzing and synthesizing information, organizing and planning, and applying IT in biology, as well as understanding the fundamental concepts of biology and the characteristics of Mediterranean vegetation.
