Summary

The College is committed to academic integrity, honesty, and fostering civil and social responsibility in students, recognizing intellectual property rights and acknowledging breaches as dishonest and unethical. The Policy outlines principles and responsibilities for promoting and supporting student academic integrity, applying to all students and staff. Students must comply with assessment instructions, submit original work, acknowledge others' ideas, and ensure their work is not copied. Staff must demonstrate academic integrity, develop students' knowledge and skills, and manage academic integrity issues fairly and transparently. Breaches of academic integrity include plagiarism, contract cheating, collusion, copying, non-compliance with instructions, reuse of previous work, and promoting ways to breach academic integrity. Records of investigations and outcomes will be kept centrally, with procedures detailed in the Assessment and Reporting Guidelines.
