The Journal of Adventist Education has a new General Conference education team, with Dr. Ted Wilson as the newly voted president, who earned a doctorate in religious education. Three general vice presidents have significant experience in education: Drs. Ella Smith Simmons, Delbert Baker, and Benjamin Schoun. For the first time, a woman was elected to head the General Conference Department of Education.

The team includes new associate directors: Drs. John Wesley Taylor, Mike Lekic, and Hudson E. Kibuuka. The GC Education Team works with 13 world division directors of education, overseeing accreditation of K-12 education and supporting teachers and administrators.

The team has a four-point game plan:
1. Reinforce Adventist identity and mission, with meaningful integration of faith and learning, balanced education, and Adventist essentials.
2. Strengthen leadership and administration, demonstrating accountability and effective governance.
3. Expand the capacity of teachers to achieve redemptive purposes and model Adventist values.
4. Increase the number of teachers where needed.

The journal publishes articles on various topics pertinent to Adventist education, with a focus on redemptive education, and is published bimonthly. The team is international, with nine languages spoken and eight passports in constant use, and works together to support Adventist education globally.
