Camuno exhibits a unique system of stress-dependent height harmony with a nine-vowel system /i u y e ɛ ø o ɔ a/, where stressed high vowels /i/ and /u/ trigger raising of preceding mid vowels, and /y/ potentially raises only preceding /ø/. The low vowel /a/ blocks harmony, and mid vowels /e/ and /ɛ/ can act as blockers. The harmony is stress-dependent, regressive, and local, with a domain of the phonological word.
